Job Overview/Purpose
The GRC Consultant role is a vital component in our commitment to providing the very best consultancy and expertise to our customers. In close partnership with practice team members, you will be delivering GRC/Purview engagements ensuring an outstanding customer experience and the upholding of our exacting standards.
You will also be responsible for additional technical initiatives as requested by the Head of Security or other members of the business, these will include the development of standards and driving the development of new products and services.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Engage with senior stakeholders, governance and compliance teams to align solutions with business and regulatory requirements
Act as a subject matter expert in Microsoft Purview, staying up to date with new features and industry developments
Contribute to the development of Microsoft Purview offerings, collaborating across practices to enhance broader solutions
Deliver GRC and Purview-focused projects end-to-end, using established playbooks and your technical expertise
Build strong client relationships, acting as the main technical point of contact throughout project delivery
Produce clear, high-quality documentation and support project teams to resolve challenges and ensure successful delivery
Maintain a strong understanding of compliance frameworks and Microsoft technologies, whilst continuously developing your own skills and certifications.
Skills, experience and qualifications
Strong hands-on experience across Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 security, including data protection, insider risk, compliance, and identity (Entra ID/Active Directory)
Working knowledge of the wider Microsoft ecosystem, including Copilot/Agent 365, SharePoint Advanced Management and Purview Data Governance
Exposure to Microsoft security tooling such as Sentinel and Defender XDR
Proven experience delivering GRC and data security projects, including workshops, governance frameworks, and deployment plans
Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance standards (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST) and how these align to Microsoft solutions
Confident communicator, able to create high-quality client materials, run workshops, and produce clear technical documentation
Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. SC-900, SC-300, SC-401) or equivalent applied skills in Purview and Microsoft 365 security
